What makes us different?
We’re a not-for-profit organisation
Trust Fostering is delivered by Doncaster Children’s Services Trust is a not-for-profit organisation. We are passionate about improving children’s lives and making fostering as fulfilling as possible for our carers.
Support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
We pride ourselves on the quality of support we offer to both new and existing foster carers.
We offer unparalleled local support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, throughout your fostering career, with experienced Foster Social Workers and Fostering Ambassadors on hand to answer any queries you may have. Being part of the Trust Fostering family means you can also be a member of Doncaster Foster Carer’s Association (www.dfca.org.uk). DFCA offers a range of events and activities for fostering families to enjoy together.
Fostering placements exclusively
We receive all referrals for Doncaster Children’s Services Trust fostering placements exclusively, before any other agency. This means we can offer our carers priority in supporting children and young people between birth and 18 years.
Proud to be local
We are based in Doncaster Town Centre, and work in and around the borough where our carers live. So when you foster for us, you’ll receive lots of support on your doorstep.
Excellent training opportunities
We take investment into the development of our foster carers very seriously. All of our training is practical, accessible and down to earth to make it easy for you to gain all the knowledge and information you need to be a successful foster carer and support the child in your care to thrive.
We offer training throughout the year to support those new to foster carers, through their first 18months and beyond.
We also offer specialist courses to develop the skills needed to take care of children with specific issues from autism to foetal alcohol syndrome.
Be a part of our fostering family
We love to bring our foster families together with lots of regular group activities, such as our weekly youth club run by our foster carers, which is unique in the UK!
