Doncaster Children’s Services Trust is currently recruiting to a number of paid, specialist foster carer roles to assist with the innovative Mockingbird programme in Doncaster.
Since 2015 Doncaster Children’s Services Trust are proud to have been delivering Mockingbird; an alternative fostering method which can help improve placement stability and safety. Through Mockingbird our foster carers are better supported than ever before, and children and young people in care are finding themselves in increasingly permanent and supportive family homes.
Bringing together a number of foster families, Mockingbird helps the Trust to create an extended network of support, made up of likeminded foster families who face the same ups and downs as one another. Fostering is challenging, but through Mockingbird we aim to bring normality to every foster family with Trust Fostering.
In order to further the programme we are currently recruiting to the following roles, please click the links below to find out more about the role, person specification and requirements, and financial support package:
People from all backgrounds can make great carers and are invited to express an interest. You can apply regardless of your marital status, sexuality, race or religion. Many of the children have been through difficult times, so carers need to be great listeners and have plenty of patience.
If you would like to find out more about the roles please contact Vickie Oldroyd on Vickie.firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that the recruitment for these roles is ongoing, however, we suggest applying ASAP as the number of vacancies is limited.
